Pharmaceutical Development in China <!--br> Description: The recent swine flu outbreak is a reminder that infectious diseases represent an ongoing threat to public health. This distinguished panel of researchers, executives, and regulatory experts will offer insight into the lessons that can be learned by examining the swine flu outbreak as a case study. The audience will gain a new appreciation for the challenges presented in identifying and responding to the apparent spread of a disease. The panelists will discuss cutting-edge approaches for diagnosis, DNA vaccine and antiviral agents. Learn how the CDC and FDA have worked with private industry to ensure that public health needs are addressed in an expedited manner to combat the outbreak of disease.
