Tournament Report

2010 Southern California Chinese Volleyball Tournament came to a successful close.  Ten teams and over 80 players from Southern California participated in the Tournament.  The defending Champion from last year, LA CEC, took the gold again this year, although the Youth Team from San Diego, all of them high school kids, almost managed an upset.  The Youth Team had two game points in the first set but could not convert.  Apparently deflated by this, they went down the second set rather easily and lost the championship to their more experienced and older opponents.  Most of all, everyone had a great time!  The LA teams brought their own cheering crowd to add to the festivity.

San Diego Chinese Community Celebrating October 1st, The 61st Anniversary for the Founding of the People's Republic of China (1949-2010)

San Diego Chinese American Association will co-host the annual National Day Celebration Banquet in San Diego. Honorable guests including the Consul General of P.R.China Los Angeles Consulate, an US congressional member and the San Diego County Supervisor, Ron Roberts will speak at the banquet.
